Placemakers is a series of documentary films exploring the people who
made the connection between public places built in the later half of
the 20th century and their impact on American culture. Some of the
most influential people in land development during this time were Jim
Rouse, Walt Disney, Steve Wynn, Donald Trump, Frank Lloyd Wright and
Edmund Bacon. Their vision, imagination and perseverance changed the
way we shop, the way we relax and vacation, the way we dine out, and
the way we live. Countless aspects of our every day lives have been
shaped and influenced by their passion for building meaningful
environments that enhance people’s lives. |
